Composition Competition 2020
SUMS is proud to announce its 2020 choral composition competition, open to all students (school, university, conservatorium) and members of AICSA Choirs! (Feel free to contact us if this is not you.) Winners will get to hear their work performed at one of SUMS' upcoming concerts.
Length: 4-8 minutes is ideal, but other lengths will be considered.
Due Date: Sunday 16th August 2020, 11:59 PM (Delayed 3 weeks from 26th July).
Instrumentation: SATB choir with minimal divisi, piano (optional).Please feel free to add a comprehensive piano part!
Submissions will be judged by the SUMS executive and musical director, Dr Michael Bradshaw, on the basis of suitability to the concert program and performability. Text must be in the public domain, preferably in English.

a short blurb about yourself and your composition (no longer than 150 words)
Winners will be announced shortly after the due date. The winner will receive a prize of $150 and tickets to the concert to hear their work performed.
