Welcome to SUMS
Sydney University Musical Society is one of the University of Sydney's oldest societies and was the first secular choir in Australia. We pride ourselves on our openness and love of music.
We are a non auditioned choir, meaning anyone and everyone is encouraged to join and explore their love of singing. We hold weekly rehearsals on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 - 8:30pm. Our rehearsals are compulsory in order to perform in our semesterly concerts. We also have a plethora of social events throughout the year, including camp and academic dinner.
Sadly SUMS is unable to take new members after week 4 of every semester as we believe it will put you at a disadvantage when learning music. Please feel free to send us an email if you have any further questions.

Log in to your new USU account and join us.
Step 4
Join us at Welcome Fest or at a rehearsal.
Welcome Events for Semester 2 2023
Join us for our Welcome BBQ on the 2nd of August at 4:30pm in Victoria Park!
Right after that at 6:30pm we will have our first rehearsal at Quad General Lecture Theatre. If you're not sure whether you want to join us yet, feel free to come along and make up your mind later!
